Expanding on foundational grant writing knowledge, this course emphasizes writing grants for public health initiatives. Participants will gain insights into the grant writing process, funding sources, and practical skills. They'll create a real grant for an external organization, learn about grant components, foster funder relationships, and collaborate on team-based proposal development. Additionally, fundamental project management aspects such as budgeting, resource management, and implementation strategies will be covered.
This course is approximately 15-20 hours to complete. Successful completion of this course leads to a non-credit badge and is one of four courses in the Public Health Workforce Development Non-credit Micro-credential. Completion of three of the four courses leads to the Public Health Workforce Development Non-credit Micro-credential.
